RATES

Taxi fares are set by the Louisville Metro Government.

These rates may be changed by the city during special events such as KY Derby & Breeder's Cup.

The current fare structure is as follows (additional fuel surcharges may apply):

METERED FARE

• Starting cab rate = $4.70
• Each Additional Mile = $2.25
• An additional charge of $3.00 per passenger beginning with the 5th passenger may be added to the metered fare.
• Taxi fares are approved by LSUCG Commissioner of Finance

Waiting Time

• 36 cents per minute

Hourly Rate:

• $23.85 per hour (nine miles included)

Airport to Downtown -- Downtown to Airport

• Downtown Flat Rate Zone: $19.55
• For all trips originating at the Louisville International Airport and having a destination other than a private residence shall be the meter unless the meter fare plus all additional charges is less than $9.95, then a maximum flat rate of $9.95 may be charged.
• An additional charge of $3.00 per passenger beginning with the 5th passenger may be added.
• No stops between Airport to Downtown or Downtown to Airport

Airport to Other Hotels and Motels (Not Downtown)

• Metered Fare
• + Fees
• + Tolls
• + Regional Airport Authority Charges
• + Waiting Time (if any)
• If total fare is less than $8.65 then a maximum rate of $8.65 may be charged.

Airport to Private Residence

• Metered Fare
• + Charges or tolls to enter or leave any passenger terminals
• + Charges or tolls to use cross roads or bridges
• + Charges or tolls to pick up or discharge passengers at public facilities

Airport to Other Cities

• Going to Lexington - $165
• Going to Cinncinatti - $255
• Going to Indy and Evansville - $275
