New Driver Requirements
- Be at least 25 years of age.
- Provide proof of residency for the past 2 years if not a U.S.
citizen.
- Must be able to speak and read English at an acceptable
conversational level.
- Hold a Kentucky state issued driver's license for a minimum of
1 year.
- No more than 1 at fault accident in last 3 years.
- Pass a review of their motor vehicle record.
- Pass a review of criminal background check.
- Successfully pass a general knowledge written test of basic
city landmark locations.
